McHappy Day is the largest fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities, which helps keep families together when their child is sick or injured.
Colouring competitions, balloons, lucky dips, raffles and prize giveaways, will run at both local eateries from 9am until lunch.
At Bega, Toad and Mandy of House Rules fame will be special guests at 11am, while Anne Moore from the Bega library will be hosting storytime from 10am. There will also be a putt-putt mini golf course set up in the car park for some extra fun for the kids.
At the Merimbula Maccas, popular local musicians Red Heart Blue as well as Ricky Bloomfield and his Merimbula School of Music students will entertain the crowds through the day. Merimbula Fire and Rescue will be on site showcasing their equipment and editor of the Merimbula News Weekly Ben Smyth will be a VIP guest helping prepare and serve your meals.
$2 from every Big Mac sold on the day will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
