Mr Taplin handed the original plans for the Tathra Wharf, East Coast Australia's last remaining deep sea 19th Century wharf, to the wharf’s museum committee on Wednesday alongside Eden-Monaro MP Mike Kelly.
Dr Kelly and some committee members are related to Daniel Gowing who came up with the idea to build the wharf where it sits today.
“I wanted the people of Australia see the plans,” Mr Taplin said.
“They are no good to me, but it will be good for kids to see how this iconic wharf was built.”
The plans will be copied by Bega Valley Shire Council before going on display at the wharf’s museum.
