The annual fair raising money for the OBH Trust was enjoyed by hundreds.
They were entertained by The Hoops on stage, Brett Rogers and his high-jumping dogs, chocolate wheel raffles and numerous market stalls and children’s activities.
“The hub was abuzz with colour, movement, chatter, music, hugs and smiles,” Val Little from the Friends of Old Bega Hospital group said.
Showcasing the work of community groups who already use several of the buildings on site were the Bega Valley Potters and Weavers, beekeepers and Bega Men’s Shed.
EdgeFM community radio, which broadcasts from the former nurses quarters, also opened its doors to the public – as well as its music library, selling off its increasingly obsolete vinyl LP and CD collection.
There was also a chance to view the plans for a proposed community cultural centre the OBH could eventually become, once enough funding is secured.
