Wilbur and the Web is an adaptation of E.B. White’s famous story ‘Charlotte’s Web’.
From barnyard to County Fair carnival, Charlotte, a brave and enterprising spider, weaves messages in her web to save the life of Wilbur the pig, who repays her by saving the lives of her 514 babies.
The students were amazing as they stepped up, performed their hearts out, worked diligently and became superstars.
- Director Mrs Katie Brazel
She is aided by Templeton, a jazz loving dirty rat, line dancing goslings and their garrulous mother and a whole host of barnyard animals.
Production director, Mrs Katie Brazel said the students were amazing as they stepped up, performed their hearts out, worked diligently and became superstars.
“The cast of fine actors, dancers and singers entertained a larger than expected audience, captivating them with amazing dance sequences, dazzling props, melodic singing and an atmosphere of excitement from both staff and students.
“Jemima Merritt enthralled us with her portrayal of Charlotte along with Mistin Kidman, who pretty in pink starred as Wilbur.
“Finn Sullivan stole some of the spotlight with his mischievous portrayal of Templeton the rat and Mikayla Heward was delightful as the mother goose herding her goslings on and off the stage,” Mrs Brazel said.
“These main cast members were well supported by many fine young actors,” she said.
Bombala Public School would like to thank the parents for their support in costuming, practicing lines and supporting students.
