In addition to Buy a Bale, one of Rural Aid’s many great programs for farming families is one called Gift of Music.
in their own words, “We put pre-loved, and new, musical instruments in the hands of those that need them most, young people who might otherwise never have the chance to learn an instrument, be part of an ensemble, build self-esteem and self-confidence, develop a skill and a love that may last a lifetime. Music can literally change lives.”
Buy a Bale CEO Charles Alder said he and his wife, co-founder Tracey Alder, are passionate about education, and were aware of a number of regional schools making applications for grants to help with their music programs.

You can help in more ways than donating an instrument too. You can also offer your time.
Gift of Music welcomes volunteers, especially grey nomads who can teach music, to come to a rural school for a week or so during their nomadic trips to help the children learn their new instrument and ignite their passion in music.
Rural Aid says “Music, the learning of a musical instrument and the participation in a group ensemble, brings benefits to a student and their family that can be immeasurable.”
