Each week the Bombala Times publishes a photo from years gone by and asks our readers if they can provide any information about the photo which is then published in the following week’s edition of the Bombala Times. This week’s Golden Oldie was published in the Bombala Times in 1982.

Is there anyone out there that may be able to tell us the names of the gentlemen in the photo and what the occasion was? If you do, we would love to hear from you.
It’s not surprising that no-one recognised any of the people in last weeks Golden Oldie of the 1923 Southern Monaro Rugby Union Representative team that went on tour to Sydney where they played Manly who won in a close battle. They then played Hawkesbury and were defeated 13 to 3.
The players were – in the back row E.G. Shaw (manager), C. Kimber, G. Kimber, T. F. Walcott, L. Hart, I. Ingram, H. W. Maxwell, G.W. Woollet, (trainer) and C. Tracey (assistant manager).
Centre row: A. Elposton, J. Helmers, N. McNee, C. Davis, W. Douch, L. Greer and E. Sheppard.
Front: A. Robbie, H. Horne, W. Robbie, W. Baldwin, J. Rutherford and W Warburton.
