The school held an assembly on Monday, and throughout the week pupils will visit Jigamy Farm and the Bundian Way, and host a sports day on Tuesday with Bega High School students.
Pupil Shaylah Thomas said she enjoys the opportunity NAIDOC Week provides to learn more about her culture, and share it with others.
A moving speech was given by pupil Kai Luff, who highlighted the significant contribution women have provided in the struggle for justice, equal rights and access to education.
“As pillars of our society, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have played – and continue to play -active and significant roles at the community, local, state and national levels,” he said.
