Bemboka Lions Club public officer James Murray said a few hundred dollars’ worth of damaged was caused to the wall last Tuesday or early Wednesday morning.
It was built to provide privacy to those using the change rooms.
“They only succeeded in knocking half of it down,” Mr Murray said.
“We’ve had a few incidents around Colombo Park in recent times and this is just the latest one.”
People have also written graffiti in the toilets or made doughnuts in the car park.
“It’s annoying because it’s more work for the Lions Club as we have to fix it every time,” Mr Murray said.
He said there was “no point” in reporting the incident to the authorities.
“When we’ve reported things like this before we’ve been told unless the vandals can be caught in the act there’s no way of catching them,” he said.
The Lions Club is the trustees of the park and required to maintain it.
In the next couple of weeks the club will be repainting the change rooms and toilets to cover the graffiti, with paint supplied by Bega Valley Shire Council.
Last weekend the club held a working bee to install two security gates purchased by council at the entrance to the park’s playing fields to reduce the possibility of it being vandalised.
In other news, the new multi-purpose goal post will be installed at Colombo Park on June 2.
This will allow all football codes to play without having to change goal posts.
