BREW members will be manning the barbecue at the Wolumla Hotel from 1-3pm. From 2-5pm, the blues sounds of Uke Junction will fill the pub.
BREW president Bill Coleman said a $1000 donation, plus the proceeds from the sausage sizzle and a chook raffle, will be passed on to the Wolumla RFS brigade.
The event was originally organised to raise money for Tathra bushfire relief fund, but with so many other organisations doing the same thing, BREW decided to put their funds toward their local fire shed instead.
“All the firies from Wolumla went out to the Tathra fire to help out on the ground, so we think they’re very deserving of this donation,” Mr Coleman said.
“I was talking to the captain the other day, he’s pretty stoked about the donation, they’re all really happy to be getting some help.”
The BREW motorcycle club started about three years ago and now has 10 members in its ranks.
The group rides together every Sunday and every Wednesday night they hold a raffle at the Wolumla pub, where they raise most of their funds for community donations.
In the past, the club has donated to the Christmas toy drive and also individuals in their community who are struggling with financial pressures, such as medical treatment.
