It’s a sad goodbye although exciting new beginnings for Leah Martin as she embarks on a journey as principal of Pambula Public School.

After spending three years building her love for Bermagui Public School, Ms Martin has jumped at the opportunity to fill the position at Pambula in the place of former principal, Meg Couvee.
“For me it is time for a new challenge and a new school. I’m thrilled, excited and am looking forward to being a part of the Pambula Public School community,” Ms Martin said.
In earlier years of her career, Ms Martin was assistant principal under Mark Thompson at Pambula. She is excited to return to new and familiar faces.

“I am sure there will be some familiarity but I am really looking forward to being a part of all the new changes and projects that have happened since I was last there.
“My values sit with the schools values and i'm looking forward to learning all the things they have going on and to lead the school into the future,” she said.
Pambula Public School have initiated in a variety of projects both inside the school and community, Ms Martin said she is “excited to be a part of the projects.”
“I have heard amazing things about what has been happening at the school over the last few years and I am really looking forward to getting involved in them.”
In the coming weeks, Ms Martin will prepare her transition to Pambula and say a heartfelt goodbye to Bermagui.
Ms Martin mentioned “the incredible school community at Bermagui and amazing kids who will be really missed.”
“Bermagui is a wonderful school and I certainly do love working here. I have really enjoyed all of the things we have achieved in the last three years and I am particularly proud of all of the wonderful things that the staff and students have been doing,” she said.
“I am very confident that the school will go from strengths to strengths.”
