The grant will go towards providing support and equipment for the oncology, children’s and maternity wards at the South East Regional Hospital.
The inspiring and far reaching impact of the work undertaken by Bega Hospital Auxiliary was a crucial factor in it receiving the grant, the bank’s Bega branch manager Rachael Holt said.
“We’re thrilled to be able to support organisations like Bega Hospital Auxiliary in the important work they do for our local community,” she said.
“It’s especially meaningful that we are able to celebrate 100 years of employee giving, by nominating an organisation to receive a Centenary Grant in our local community.”
The auxiliary is one of the 1,000 organisations across the country to receive a Centenary Grant this year, and has worked tirelessly to raise money to provide medical equipment and services to the hospital.
