Bombala Public School principal, Jo Tozer said that students, parents, staff and visitors from the High School and Currawarna enjoyed many delights as they wandered through the various stalls.
“People were treated to a delicious hot dog lunch provided by the P&C; then onto cupcakes, old fashioned toffees and biscuits baked by aspiring Year 6 chefs,” she said.
There were lots of stalls at the fete including the White Elephant Stall with lots of bargains and the Glamour Pampering Table was kept busy.
“Many coloured heads and glittering nails were seen around the playground after visiting the hairspray and nail polish stall,” Ms Tozer said.
To work off the yummy lunch people had a chance to try their hands at Sock Wrestling, Sponge Toss, Basketball and Football Games.
According to students another popular stall was the card making and scrapbooking table where many beautiful cards and bookmarks were created.
“Finally, a delicious afternoon tea was provided and people had one last chance to win on the chocolate wheel,” they said.
Ms Tozer said that each year we are very proud of the senior students who organise the stalls and provide prizes to encourage participation.
“We gratefully thank the parents of these students for their support and guidance. We would also like to thank the P&C for their contributions on the day. We would also like to thank Shirley from Tree of Life for her generous donation of a raffle prize – a scrapbooking box which was won by Jemima Merritt.
“Congratulations to all the winners on the day.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and made our fete a very successful fundraiser with nearly $1000 being raised towards the 2018 Year 6 Excursion to Melbourne.
“What an amazing effort!” Ms Tozer said.
