For this week, we take a trip down memory lane to Bombala Primary School and a class photo from 1976.
We know it’s of Class 5-6C, but do you know any of the names of the pupils pictured? How about the teacher and that fantastic tie?!
If you are one of those children pictured, or know the names of those who are, we’d love to hear from you.

Last week’s mail coach still remains somewhat of a mystery. The photo came to us from Colin O’Donoghue and appears to be the first mail coach to run from Cooma to Bombala, a service that began around 1890.
There’s a possibility it was built by Scanes, a Cathcart-based wheelwright in the late 1800s. A visitor to the Platypus Centre believed the gentleman on the left is her husband’s grandfather (he has the same photo) and likely called Scanes. We’re hoping to hear back from her.
We also heard from Kristine Dennis who is researching Pooley and Malone coaches on the southern road, who believes it’s a four-wheel coach of the variety used by the company, which held mail contracts from 1876 until 1887.
