The Wallaroos will face a rematch with Ireland to close out their campaign, but will go in more confident on the back of a win over Japan over the weekend.
Sam Treherne found redemption from her earlier poor kicking games with a 14-point tally – scoring a double and booting two conversions – as the green and gold rallied to a 29-15 win.
Officials said Boyle had continued to impress with her defensive efforts.
“It’s pleasing for the team to secure a win after two very tough losses to Ireland and France,” head coach Paul Verrell said.
“The team put in a lot of work on-and-off the field this week to ensure they were across the game plan and the style of Rugby we wanted to play against Japan and they executed that well.
“We can’t make the semi-finals with one pool win, but we still have a lot to play for. We’ll head to Belfast with the goal of finishing as highly ranked as we possibly can to ensure we can compete at the next World Cup.
“We also want to continue to build as a team and create a Wallaroos program that girls back home want to be a part of. Participation in Rugby for females is on the rise off the back of the Sevens success in Rio, we need to ensure the 15s game is just as healthy to provide opportunities for the next generation.”
The Australians will line up against the host nation for a second time at 11pm AEST Tuesday night at King’s Stadium. The final round for the Australians will see Boyle claim her seventh national representative cap since her debut in May.
