Hundreds of stunning images have submitted in Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s Your Say Snowy Monaro photography competition. Nominations flooded in across five categories: built environment, events and people, landscape, local industry, and your Snowy Monaro.
Voting is now underway to select the top five images in each category and age group (open, high school and primary school). The images can be found on Council’s Facebook page.
To vote for your favourite images, simply click ‘like’ on a photo. The top five images (those receiving the most likes) will be displayed at a public exhibition with the final round of judging taking place by an independent party.
“As we know the Snowy Monaro has many wonderful places to capture that perfect shot. The Your Say Snowy Monaro photo comp has produced some great shots,” Snowy Monaro Regional Council Administrator, Dean Lynch, said.
“I encourage people to head along to Council’s Facebook page and check out the great photos. While there vote for your favourite.
“The photo comp has been a great success, and it’s very pleasing to see the interest generated.”
There is prize money up for grabs, There will be overall winners in each age group and highly commended awards in each of the five categories. First prize: Open - $600, high school - $300 and primary school - $100. Highly commended (in each category): Open - $250, high school - $100, and primary school - $50.
