Bombala Basketball Association is calling for names for the next comp starting Monday, August 14. Names are required for both junior and senior mini ball, ladies and men's comp. The men's comp is trying something new this year, if you are interested put together a team of 5-7 players with one person as captain and a custom team name of your choice. Individuals can also put their names down. Individual names to be given to committee members Tash Millliner, Katie Peisley, Leesa Elton, Donna Shelley and Carol Ingram or alternatively though our Facebook page. Men’s teams and individual names be given to Korie Elton. Names in by August 3.

Golf
On Wednesday the Bombala women played the 5th Club Medal and Putting for G Withers Trophy. Gay Kennedy, returning after weeks off with an injury was the winner with a good round of 71 nett from Joy Douch 73 nett. Balls were on by Joy and Betty Crawford 80 nett on a c/b from Jean McLean. Saturday was the first 18 Holes of the Club Championships and played for Di Ingram Trophy. The winner was Jean McLean 75 nett. Balls were won by Eva L’Estrange 80 nett, Georgina Withers 80 nett, Joy Douch 81 nett and Di Ingram 83 nett. The leaders after 18 Holes are Joy Douch 101 from Di Ingram 105 and Dawn Douch 106. Handicap Jean McLean 75 nett from Georgina and Eva 80 nett. Members on Saturday played a 3 Stick Event for a Club Trophy. Brendan Weston had a good round winning with 39 pts. Balls were won by Westy, Ray Fermor 35 nett on c/b from Ray Crawford 35 pts. Sunday was a Par for P McIntosh Trophy. The winner was Wayne Elton +1. Balls won by Wayne and Ross Brown Square. NTP was not won over the weekend.

Members: Saturday, Secret 9, Stableford. J. Vincent Trophy. Sunday, July 23 Stroke. Imperial Hotel Trophy. Members note the 4BBB championships have been changed. First 18 Holes Sunday, July 30 and second 18 Holes Sunday, August 6. Duty Roster: Saturday, July 22 – Ross Brown.
Bowls
On Wednesday, July 12 four bowlers braved the cold for social bowls. C Baker and P Jones 20 defeated Chris X and K Callaway 14. On Saturday the handicap singles sponsored by the Bombala Newsagency got underway in fair conditions. Results: P Jones 35 defeated C Baker 10, N Brotherton 21 defeated M Guthrie 11. C Ingram 21 defeated B Crouch 17. On Sunday, A Dent 27 defeated G Griggs 17, J Lomas 27 defeated R Callaway 11. Please note - second round to be played by July 23. “Arfup”
