The club will play host to both the Candelo-Bemboka Panthers and Narooma Devils across five huge games at the Bega Recreation Ground on Sunday.
The league-tag Bega Chicks will contest two games on the day with the opening match against the Pink Panthers and then later against the She-Devils.
The Pink Panthers will be running hot on the back of their win over the She-Devils last week, while the Chicks also claimed a good result last round over the Bay Tigers.
The onus will be on the Pink Panthers to plug any gaps in their line and ensure the Bega quicks don’t have room to run.
Emma Irvin, Emma Backhouse and Ashley Barnett have all been strong defensively and could play a key role in containing Madison Parbery and Elyse Philipzen out of the Bega camp.
Meanwhile, the Chicks could face their own hurdle of containing speedsters if the She-Devils inject young gun bolter Lily Bennett.
Meanwhile, the reserve grade fixture will be a top-of-the-table clash when the undefeated Panthers take on the second-placed Roosters.
The Roosters put the Panthers to the test in their last encounter before the Panthers staged some late tries to make the result look easy.
The Panthers shape up bigger in the front lines, but anything the Roosters lack in size, they make up for in gritty determination and running good lines.
Scott Ingram has been a major player for the Roosters in recent outings and the Panthers will look to keep him on a short leash, but the club can also look to Dillon Aldridge and Steve Luff for a good run.
For the Panthers, captain-coach Jake McDonald leads the troops from the front with Josh Cochrane and Haywood Fraser lining up for hard-hitting runs – and if they break open a gap, Nathan Rosseland and fullback Troy Harvey have been good finishers at the try-line.
In other encounters, the Roosters are likely to out-muscle the Devils in the first grade match up.
The Narooma squad boasts pace, but lacks size to match up with Bega’s formidable forward pack, whereas the Roosters boast speed, but also strength in spades.
The front six are hard-running, but versatile and good at adapting as needed mid-play. On the back of their result over the Bay, Bega are unlikely to fumble against the Devils.
It will be a big day of league and should boast some close and hard-hitting games.
Matches start at 9.30am – the Chicks against the Pink Panthers – and will run right through to first grade at 2.30pm.
