Julie Lay began as a casual employee at the branch 27 years ago, and is looking forward to enjoying her retirement with family and a Mediterranean cruise.
“Going to the Greek islands has been on my bucket list for a long time,” Ms Lay said.
She has witnessed major changes in the banking industry during her years as manager, and said she enjoyed every minute of it.
“I’ve loved it here,” Ms Lay said.
“It’s always been family oriented, and we treat customers as family as well.”
After moving to the area from Sydney, Ms lay and her husband had only planned on staying in the region for five years.
“We’ve been living here now for 36 years,” the Tathra resident said.
Former Westpac manager Brie-Anna Dowdell will be taking over the role of branch manager.
