In 2005 Peter and Trish Fehon lost their 16-year-old daughter Beth to suicide, and the experience has driven the couple to do whatever they can to raise money for charity.
Over the last two years Mr Fehon has organised the Beyond Bitumen Rally, proudly supported by mental health advocacy organisation beyondblue.
“Doing the rallies has shown me that everyone has a story, and people are willing to open up and talk about their struggle with depression and anxiety,” he said.
The entourage will arrive in Bermagui on Friday, March 31, at 5pm, before heading for Bombala the following day via Tathra, Merimbula and Boydtown.
This year the event will include 130 people driving from Nowra, through the Bega Valley, before finishing in Goulburn.
Mr Fehon said the rally is growing each year, and the couple are hoping to raise $150,000 for mental health advocacy this year.
