Last Monday, a group of year 5 students from Bombala and Delegate Public Schools set off to Berridale a two night excursion to Cooba Sport and Education Centre. Mrs Roberts and Mrs Sellers were the teachers with the group, while Mrs Mikula and Mrs Jones of Delegate also spent a night.

The activities at Cooba are aimed at developing teamwork, safety, resilience, responsibility and a sense of adventure that reflect the school’s Positive, Behaviour for Learning (PBL) values.
Day one activities were the challenging big swing and archery. On Monday evening the pupils enjoyed a games night, with lots of fun challenges. Day two began with a session on push-bikes and the Gladiator Challenge with everyone working as teams to get through a series of activities including a vertical rock wall, a water slide. On day three the group did the low rope course and team maneuver challenge.
Bowls
Last Sunday the Bombala pennant team hosted Tathra winning a close game 56 shots to 55, 2 rinks to 1, earning 9 points to 1. A really great effort by all players. Well done.
The Monaro Shield team also at home vs Cooma 1 had a good win 72 shots to 57,2 rinks to 1. earning 4 pts to 1. This was the last game of this competition unless they have to play Cooma 2 in a game that was washed out earlier in the season, so I thank every player for representing Bombala.

Golf
On Wednesday the ladies played a Stableford for Club Trophy. Jean McLean had a good round winning with 37 pts. The ball winners Gay Kennedy 32 pts and Joy Douch 29 pts.
Saturday Members played a Par for D White Trophy. Brendan Weston continued with the good golf winning with +5. Ball Winners were Westy, R. Brown +3 and M. Douch +3. NTP was won by C Elton.
Sunday was a Stroke for the Monthly Medal. The winner was Ross Brown 65 Nett. Good round Ross, check your handicap. Ball Winners were Ross, Brendan Weston 67 nett, Simon Stephen 70 nett. NTP won by Brendan Weston.
Golf program
On Wednesday, March 26 the ladies have the Foursomes Championships, 27 Holes 10am start and on Saturday a Par for Club Trophy.
On Saturday members have pennants at Coolamatong and at home a Stableford for Club Trophy Ind Acc and on Sunday a foursomes championships – 27 Holes 11am hit off. Duty roster: Colin Gronow.
