The Bega Roosters Rugby League Club and Bega Devils Soccer Club recently held a fundraiser and trivia night to help with Mr Apps’ rehabilitation at Bega’s Grand Hotel.
The 21-year-old became a quadriplegic after a tragic snowboarding accident in Canada in April last year.
“Jason has been a member of the Roosters,” Bega Roosters president Garry Ahkin said.
“He was a great under 18s player and and a wonderful kid so I couldn’t think of it going to a better cause.
“The Grand Hotel Fishermans Club also donated $1000, so I’d like to thank them for their support.”
The night was organised by Mr Ahkin, Peter Turner and Mr Apps’ former league coach Ray Ringland.
