It is a day of family fun where you can buy a pig for a race and the winner receives half the pool.
But it is not just about the races, as there will also be live entertainment by Bega Valley artists throughout the day, jumping castles, a magician, face painting, food, wine and market stalls.
It is all in the name of charity, as the event is organised by the Tathra Lions Club with the proceeds going to local community projects.
Club member Rex Kermode said there are seven trained piglets in each race who have to navigate an obstacle course to find a bowl of milk.
“It’s just absolutely funny!” he said.
“When they do find the milk all the other pigs know where it is too and they just all dive in.
“It’s a family fun event.”
He said the event is now in its third year, with the prior two bringing in a good amount of funds for the community.
The pig races will be held at Tathra Beach Country Club on Sunday and gates open at 11am.
Entry is $10 for adults and 16s are free.
