Roads will be closed in the Snowy Mountains this Saturday for the L’Etape Australia Cycle Ride, the first ever Tour de France event to be held in Australia.

Cyclists will take part in either a 126 kilometre ride or 157 kilometre race, starting from Crackenback and heading through Jindabyne, Rocky Plain, Berridale and Dalgety. The 126 kilometre ride will finish in Jindabyne while the longer race will continue onto Perisher.
Roads will begin closing at 6am and will progressively open throughout the day, with all closures lifted by 4pm.
These include parts of Alpine Way, Kosciuszko Road, Jindabyne Road, Eucumbene Road, Rocky Plains Road, Middlingbank Road, Dalgety Road, The Snowy River Way and Barry Way.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and avoid road closures.
Anyone taking part in either race can catch free shuttle buses between Jindabyne and Crackenback.
