Bega Cheese has announced its ongoing support for the event this week with the dinner raising much needed funds for community and not-for-profit organisations in the Bega Valley.
The dinner will be held on Saturday, October 22 at Oaklands Event Centre in Pambula, with an Egyptian theme to the event titled A Night on the Nile.
The support Mumbulla Foundation has received from Bega Cheese over recent years has meant that we have been able to almost double the annual grants program.

The foundation said the valuable support of Bega Cheese and its commitment to “give where it lives” means the foundation can continue to build on its work of the past 15 years, a time that has seen it provide $800,000 to the region.
“Bega Cheese is a proud supporter of the Mumbulla Foundation and the assistance it provides to not for profit groups who help make the Bega Valley such a vibrant and supportive community,” Bega Cheese executive chairman Barry Irvin said on Tuesday.
Grants have been given to groups as diverse as SPAN (Suicide Prevention Action Network), Pearls Place Kitchen, Stonewave Taiko, Twofold Aboriginal Corporation, Southern Women’s Group, Jellat Rural Fire Brigade, REAP by OzHarvest and Eden Preschool.
“The support Mumbulla Foundation has received from Bega Cheese over recent years has meant that we have been able to almost double the annual grants program,” Mumbulla Foundation chair Gary Potts said.
In addition to the grants program the foundation also provides scholarships each year to local students attending Wollongong University’s Bega campus, and assists with funds and prizes for local primary and high schools.
The dinner will host music by Sam Martin and the Sundowners, Stonewave Taiko Drumming and great food.
According to the committee it will be “a night to remember” full of “fun and entertainment, along with the huge charity auction”.
