The Scratch Champions are Dawn Douch and Eva L’Estrange 208 from Jean McLean and Joy Douch 209. Handicap Champions are Betty Crawford and Gay Kennedy 143 nett from Jean McLean and Joy Douch 148 nett. Congratulations to Dawn, Eva, Betty and Gay on their championships win for 2016. Jean and Joy were the ball winners on the day with 73.5 nett.
Members on Saturday played a Stroke for the Monthly Medal.
Merv Douch was the winner with 72 nett and winning the ball. The NTP was not won.
On Sunday a good contingent of players travelled to Tathra for the first challenge of the Heavy Haulage.
At the time of publication the actual results are not exactly known and we only know that Bombala is behind and has a lot of catching up to do on Sunday, September 25 when the second round will be played at Bombala. Everyone all agreed that it was a great day.

Ladies: Wednesday, August 31 is a Par for the J Muir Trophy. Saturday, September 3 is the Association Medal - Stroke for the Club Trophy.

On Sunday, August 21 the Mixed Pairs sponsored by Champions Shoes saw G Hurley and R Joseph defeat P Kane and (sub) C Elton 18-17. On Wednesday, August 24 Social bowls – C Baker played swinger, H Elliott and M Guthrie defeated K Callaway and Chris X 20-15. On Saturday, August 27 - 13 bowlers played in the North versus South Local Challenge in great weather. North won 32 - 26. Chook winners were Pat K, Barrel, Glad, Cathy, Doreen and Crouchie. A very enjoyable day with the Triples Final sponsored by Bombala Cycles & Chainsaws. A Dent, H Elliott and C Baker defeated R Joseph, R Callaway & Chris X 21-11. Next week the result of the Mixed Pairs final and the Tathra Carnival. Jack
Sports Forum
Queanbeyan – Palerang Regional Council, in conjunction with the Office of Sport, Sport and Recreation, is conducting a Sport Development Forum on Saturday, October 15 from 10am to 3pm at the Riverside Oval at Queanbeyan.
