Ten-year-old Noa died on August 8 after being hit by a vehicle after he got off his school bus near Cobargo.
His father Brett Jessop remembers him as an easy-going kid with a gentle nature who had a great love of sports and the outdoors.
A spokesperson for Storm said the team decided to wear the armbands for their game in Canberra after coach Craig Bellamy was notified about Noa’s death by former teammate and Bega Valley resident David Boyle.
Mr Bellamy and the team were touched by the story and decided to wear the armbands.
Similarly, girls from St Patrick’s Primary School in Bega also donned black armbands to honour Noa during the Matildas soccer gala day held at Bega’s George Griffin Oval last Wednesday.
Officials said it helped them to deal with the tragedy.
Any inquiries about the funeral service for Noa can be directed to John Whyman on 6492 4111.
Storm will play the Raiders on August 15 from 7pm and can be seen on Fox Sports.
