The Bombala High Heelers and Blue Heeler reserve grades made the journey to Moruya on Sunday to play in the major semi-final against the Bega Chicks and Roosters.

It was a tough day of football for both grades with a number of key players for the High Heelers sustaining injury.
The High Heelers were on the back foot from kick off with the Bega Chicks dominating field possession.
Outstanding tagging from Georgie Clarke, Lucy Sellers and Patrice Clear helped to keep the Bega girls from crossing early.
Keiarna Rodwell was instrumental in her kick game, aiming to kick early to try and get the Bombala girls out of their own half, but it was the Bega Chicks who would score first.
A desperate dive from captain Patrice Clear caused her to hit the ground, sustaining an elbow injury that forced her from the field.
Although the High Heelers started to see more ball action, the Chicks had momentum in their favour and scored again out wide.
With the score at 10-0 at half time the Heelers found themselves in unfamiliar territory.
The return of the High Heelers captain to the field after half time proved to be a great moral boost to the team.
From kick off in the second half the Heelers game did a swift turn around as they dominated field possession and eventually spread the ball wide to winger Kayley Keavey to score first points for the Heelers.
With the score 10 to 4 a controversial charge down attempt by Bega caused Keiarna Rodwell to fall heavily, dislocating her shoulder which required a trip to hospital.
The Bega player was sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes.
The Heelers capitalised on Bega playing one down and once again spread the ball wide with Tash Stewart going over the line for the Heelers second try.
With conversion unsuccessful the score stayed 10 to 8 in Bega’s favour and remained the final score.
The High Heelers dug deep but ran out of time and now look to next week’s elimination final round against the Narooma She-Devils for a spot in the grand final.
Players Players went to Patrice Clear with three points being shared between Tash Stewart, Lucy Sellers and Abbey Kimber. Two points went to Georgie Clarke and one point to Keiarna Rodwell.
The Reserves had the hard task of taking on the top of the ladder Bega Roosters who were sporting a tough line-up.
Bega found the scoreline first, followed by Bombala’s Clay Clear who crossed evening the score to six all at half time.
In the second half Bega scored four quick tires before full time taking the final score 28-6.
The Bombala Reserves take on the Moruya Sharks in the elimination final next weekend.
