The final report from the Agency states the Review is now completed and that the required standards have been met in all service areas including: home maintenance, Meals on Wheels, home modifications, domestic assistance, group social support, individual social support and specialist support services.

The council resources required to participate in a review are substantial and I recognise the significant contribution made by the staff at the Bombala Multi Service Outlet.  The requirements of the agency are very stringent. Having met the quality standards the Bombala Multi Service Outlet have demonstrated the capacity to deliver services to the community to the highest national standard. Snowy Monaro Regional Council is pleased to have such a high quality standard of service in the Bombala region for our aged residents, and I encourage staff to continue with the quality work they have undertaken. The next Quality Review is scheduled for 2018.

The Snowy Monaro Local Representative Committees have been meeting and getting business underway. They have been assessing issues across their regions and reporting them to me for action. I’m pleased that members of the public are starting to utilise their local representatives.
