The first grade Devils took a convincing win 6-2 over their hosts from a strong midfield effort leading into the front lines.
Blake Grant led the scoring with a hat-trick, followed by Simon Jones with a pair of goals.
Clancy Morrison picked up the final shot for the Devils in a strong display.
However, the Tigresses edged the Devils 4-3 in a gritty women’s game at the Wolumla Rec Ground on Sunday.
Wolumla women’s coach said it was a “gloomy day” for the club with the Tigresses offering up a glimmer of hope in their win.
Tigress Anna Marlin was a standout for the hosts on the day, scoring three of the team’s four goals on the day and leading the troops from the front.
McPaul also praised Tegan Grant in the defensive line for stopping Bega’s attacking raids and welcomed the return of Caitlin Johnson as sweeper on the day.
