After three weeks off with weather and such the Blue Heeler U7s did not miss a beat. It was their chance to take on Pambula at home. Even though they had plenty of enthusiasm unfortunately it just wasn't the day for the U7s but it didn't stop these boys from having a go.

Joey Sullivan ran the full length of the field to perform a try saving tackle which was simply outstanding. All the U7s are now tackling with confidence.
Cody Bruce unleashed his inner beast and showed the Pambula boys not to mess with him. Each boy on the team ran hard and fast working toward getting a try, but Pambula's defence was just way too good.
This week’s man of the match went to Blake Chamberlain. Even though this is only his second game he certainly made the effort and deserved this award.
Make sure you take time to come down and watch U7s take on Bega this Saturday at home in Bombala you won’t be disappointed.

Not unlike the U7s the U8s were full of energy after the couple of weeks break. This little team played another entertaining game of football against the Bulldogs.
Lincoln Papalia and Liam Strickland both controlled the play all game.
Ari Sten caused absolute havoc all day with his attack and defence.
Josh Tellis once again used his speed to bag a try and Max Power was also rewarded for his efforts with a beautiful individual try.
Gracie Brownlie also had a strong game with some superb runs down the sideline. Ruby Smith, Tanner Hurley, Zara Brotherton and Jake Brown also defended well throughout the game with high tackle counts.
This week’s Milo Man of the Match goes to the one and only Freddie Merrit who every game shows a great workload with his high tackle count and hit ups.
The U8s were only defeated by one try, this team wear their Bombala jersey with pride and do Bombala proud each week. Well done kids…

Thanks again to the Blue Heelers U9s on another good performance standing up strong against the Bulldogs. All the team showed improvement as they have each week throughout the season.
The defence was out of sight. Even during the game as the U9s warmed up the defence just strengthened, in particular the effort put in from Arlan Hillyer was a credit to him - in fact he tackled himself to a standstill. Great effort Arlan.
In attack Ollie Sullivan had a great game with plenty of quality runs. The list of star players this week just goes on and on, but the biggest positive is how the U9s play as a team. Everyone gets a run with the ball and everyone makes an effort to tackle each week. The devotion from this team and parents to attend games and training is fantastic and it’s paying off.
This week’s Milo Men of the Match awards go to Alan Hillyer and Zander Paynter.

Like all the teams in the Bombala Club the U12s Blue Heelers continue to improve each week. This week all the team contributed in every way possible. Although defeated this team is finally starting to believe in their ability and really playing well together. Saturday saw strong defensive games from Beau Brownlie, Fletcher Manning and Jayden Clear which led to all the forwards having a great game.
Jack Ventry even though Saturday was only his second game, scored a good try right next to the posts. Following on, Zane Phillips-Jones was successful with a conversion. In the second half Max Smith scored a try after some great lead up work from Colby Brownlie and Jake Miles. Overall it was a really good game for the U12s. This week’s points were awarded as follows, 3 points Max Smith, 2 points Jake Miles and 1 point Jayden Clear.

If there was any hesitation for these boys after the two week break they certainly did not show it. The whole team were keen and confident coming in off their last win to take on the Merimbula/ Pambula Bulldogs.
Unfortunately the Bulldogs were quick off the mark to put points on the board and continued to dominate in attack throughout the game. The Bombala boys did well, in patches, in line defence, adding pressure which resulted in some forced errors.
Again Reagan Hurley, Blake Baldwin and Lane Stevenson were exceptional in defence, topping the tackle count.
Brady Jones also had a great defensive match. After some hard work in attack Baidon Sten managed to force his way over the line for the only points for Bombala in the game.
Better luck next week with another home game. This week the points were awarded as follows. 3 points went to Reagan Hurley, 2 points went to Lane Stevenson, 1 point went to Brady Jones.
Player’s Player was awarded to Lane Stevenson.
Good effort boys. See you at training

Girls League Tag
After a four week break it was expected that the Pink Heelers might be a little rusty, however this wasn't the case.
Although Merimbula scored first points the Bombala girls looked fast and crisp in attack and at half time they had amassed a lead of 12 points to 4.
The second half however saw the girls become fatigued, with the result being many missed tags and a lack of urgency in attack.
This allowed the Merimbula girls to eventually tie the game at 12 points all. Leah Luke again led the way in both hard, straight running and enthusiastic tagging and was once again named player of the match. The girls will look to build upon this performance next week against Bega.
