“There are many new families moving here from Victoria, Western Australia and Sydney,” principal Carolyn Nugent said on Tuesday.
“We are really pleased to see growth in the school and our P&C are thrilled with the new members.”
The school’s Kindergarten classes have been organised into classes of 18 pupils each, allowing teachers more interaction time with each child.
The new pupils were all smiles on their first day and each was enjoying their new environment in their own way.
“We’re going to do lots of work today,” Jaylah said in anticipation.
The tables were full of pencils as pupils coloured in and got to know one another.
“I made two friends,” Kyan said.
“Drawing and painting are my favourite things,” Cody said.
“I could do it all day and all night.”
Ms Nugent said the school as a whole had 30 new enrollments for the 2016 school year.
