One Bega District News reader sent a photo of their hand holding some of the ice to the BDN’s Facebook page.
Another posted a video of being stuck in their car while the hail drummed down on their roof.
According to Weatherzone, this icy phenomenon occurred despite the weather being relatively warm in Bega, topping 27.2 degrees Celsius on the day and only reaching 14.3C before 9am that morning.
By Monday morning, 16.8mm of rain had fallen on the town.
However, Friday received the coolest temperature of November, with a chilly 6.5C being felt by Bega’s residents by 9am on the day.
