About 60 people attended the “black tie and bling” launch, including members of the choir, Rotary members, partners, Rotary’s district governor representative Michael Pedler, Bombala Mayor Bob Stewart and other invited guests.
“The evening went excellently,” Bombala Rotary president Jak Cuttle said.
“This CD is the fourth that the choir has released.
“It's a unique blend of Christmas songs from around the world with both modern and one dating back to the 14th Century - and is sung in five different languages,” he said.
After speeches by Mayor Stewart and Rotary representative Mr Pedler, they officially unveiled the Christmas CD.
The Bombala Rotary Club Community Choir was formed on July 1, 2001, under the leadership of Claus Zimmer and his wife Pat.
The choir has around 30 members that include students, farmers, housewives, professionals, business operators and retirees aged from 17 to 77.
“Most of them had no musical training until they joined the choir,” Mr Cuttle said.
“It has only been through Claus’s skill and patience and their eagerness that we were able to produce this CD.
“Up to 150 CDs have been sold already,” he said.
