In the early days of rock and roll Storm prove to be a true performer and a popular favourite with fans, and is still as popular as ever.
Storm made his first appearance on 6 O’Clock Rock in October 1960 and continued his television career with the Johnny O’Keefe Show and Sing, Sing, Sing.
With his ability to play keyboards and perform country music, Storm was a regular artist on Reg Lindsay’s Homestead Country Hour.
Born in Rockhampton, Queensland, he studied for seven years at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has performed in over 25 countries around the world during his career spanning from the ’60s to now.
Storm does songs from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s - all the country and rock and roll songs that were popular during this time.
Storm has enjoyed great success with an extensive recording catalogue, including a gold record for his biggest hit, Rolling With The Flow.
His latest CD, The Very Best of Roland Storm, has also gone gold.
Roland Storm will perform at Wolumla Hall on Sunday, August 30, from 1pm.
Tickets are $20, there will be a lucky door prize and supper will be provided.
