The last show was roundly described as a great success and has left the committee with generous cash reserves to get the next show underway.
What the committee now needs are members, Bombala Bike Show Committee president Grantley Ingram said.
"Unfortunately the numbers have dwindled to a point where it will be difficult to have sufficient resources on the ground to run the event.
"The old adage of many hands making light work is very relevant to organising such an event," Mr Ingram said.
"It is felt that trying to rely on three or four individuals to manage the event is not sustainable and will eventually lead to holding an event that doesn’t meet the expectations of the guests.
"The current committee is not prepared for this to occur."
Mr Ingram said the committee believes there is enormous potential for the community in building the event not only for the direct financial advantages to local business houses over the event weekend but also in the longer term development of the motorcycle tourism brand for the Bombala region.
The committee has recently been successful in obtaining insurance cover for the burn out competition and have also established a prominent position in the social media market.
"All indications appear positive toward holding another successful event except having enough committee members to manage the show," Mr Ingram added.
The next committee meeting will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, July 15, at the Bombala RSL Club.
The membership fee is $1, which may be paid on the night for anyone interested in becoming a member.
Mr Ingram said now is the time for all those interested in the future of the Bombala Bike Show to make a contribution, as the very future of the event may depend upon it.
