The Tathra veteran has plenty of accolades in his long career, including four premierships in a row.
O’Loghlin was named the club’s best and fairest in two of those years.
Team-mate of many years Luke Taylor said he admired O’Loghlin’s playstyle.
“He was an integral part of the team when we were winning premierships and is one of the most courageous players out there,” Taylor said.
“He is not that big in stature, but his will to win and be in the contest is second to none.”
With the game to be played at the Sea Eagles’ home ground of Lawrence Park, Taylor said the team will be extra vigilant to hunt down a win for the milestone.
The effect will be twofold as the club enters a new phase of rebuilding.
Some of the club’s key veterans are hitting mile markers in their playing career, but will act as a beacon for the up and comers.
Taylor views O’Loghlinn as a player to be looked up to and admired.
“You hope the youngers guys that played this Saturday will strive to be 100 game players,” he said.
“Obviously, we strive to win premierships, but if you put the effort in you can be rewarded.
“Troy has shown that in his extensive playing career, he will go down as one of the best players Tathra has had.”
He will lead the new wave of players, who are starting to shine for the Sea Eagles.
“The young guys are the future of our club and the older more experienced guys are leading them through,” Taylor said.
“Players like Troy are creating a pathway for these younger guys to thrive.
“I think that’s a credit to his accolades and longevity that come with a 100 game career.”
With a general bye last week, the club took the chance to train hard and be fit and ready for Saturday’s game.
After a loss to the Bega Bombers a few weeks ago, training has seen a return to the basics and focusing on the one percenters.
“Numbers at training were good and everyone is keen to get back on the field and put in a good performance.”
Bayden Pilbeam and Jack Hukins were described as “training the house down” and have been stepping up in recent weeks.
Improved endeavour from the team and a newfound enthusiasm puts the club in good stead for a strong back half to the season.
The club will be at Lawrence Park, afterall and has created a strong stranglehold of home games.
“I think we’ll definitely see some improvement, maybe not on the scoreboard, but certainly in the skills that should hold us in good stead for the future,” Taylor said.
The Sea Eagles will play the Narooma Lions at Lawrence Park from 2.10pm on Saturday.
