L-plater crashes into Bega motor registry
Maybe Driving lessons should be implemented into the schools as a compulsory subject..
Peter Niven
Seriously does this need to be posted on social media, I feel for the driver of the car, it's a stressful enough time for them as it is, without adding embarrassment to the situation as well.
Debbie Mead
I've made a copy of it just incase it's taken down so I can repost it
Drew Paxton
Everyone should be thankful the driver isn't getting their licence today.... It could be anyone in the way latter. So sad that the driver may be embarrassed... If there was someone walking on the footpath at the time the driver could be looking at time for manslaughter
Kelly Hardy
Learning to drive should be conducted by TAFE
Make better driving skills learning on all weather types road conditions
Dale Atkins
I can't believe people are laughing at this, I feel sorry for whoever was driving we don't even know if it was an L-player driving! Before people start laughing and judging put yourself in their shoes! No one knows the whole story!
Jayna Dickinson
This made my day. But probably not the drivers. Hope they were insured poor things
Rose Zanna
Obviously your so called "newspapers" idea of what constitutes news is different from mine and many others. It wasn't the fact that a car crashing into a building is news, but rather your paper decided that a L plater crashing into the Rta building was funny. Congratulations on your lack of sensitivity!!
Cath Griffin
All these people feeling sorry and saying this shouldn't be posted, wouldn't be saying that if someone was run over by this driver. Think about that.. Would like to see how the parallel parking went

Bega Cheese granted $5million
That's great, but I can't help thinking it's a corporate hand out while the needy are getting their funds pulled !
Donny Ryan
But...halal..halal...something..something...halal. Well done Bega Cheese. Great work.
Adrian Day
They seem to be very good at getting money off the government.
Harriett Swift
They pay their taxes and employ many people in the valley Harriett Swift. When they do well so does the valley. Congratulations Barry -you should be proud of the achievements of Bega Cheese
Margaret Nowacki
Much smarter to invest in successful Aussie owned companies - extra employment will be created which will hopefully give some needy people jobs reducing Centrelink costs and returning taxes to the government - a win/win! Small business will benefit from the $20 grand deduction allowed for business improvement purchases which encourages expenditure, creates jobs, reduces Centrelink costs and puts extra tax dollars back into the govt coffers - another win/win. The needy will eventually benefit from a more prosperous nation but meanwhile the required funds must be earned before they can be given away!
Will Van Leeuwen
Not sure why the government is investing in already rich companies when small business in Bega is going down the toilet. Priorities?

International Nurses Day at Hillgrove House
Thank you ladies! You are still making a difference in people's lives.
Diane de Rooy
So pleased to see this photo. Thanks Nancy Hinde for your volunteer work and thanks to Olive for her love and care of folk over the years.
Anne McDougall
Lovely photo and poignant also! In the background is the accordion the nurses urged dad to play until we took his own in!!! He was so well cared for and loved in there, the nurses were fantastic!
Lynneeta Darmody
Yes, those wonderful nurses deserve appreciation, even when they are retired. They are a rare breed. Thank you.

Snake in Quaama bedroom
I remember coming home from a few days away as a teenager and finding snake poo under my pillow.... I will forever wonder if it was there before I left. Needless to say, the hole I had in my floorboards was instantly blocked!
Belladonna Raudvee
Not sure whether to like this or not.
Michael Reid
I would burn the house....just in case
Lenny Dixon
I'm not going to be able to sleep. Ever. Again.
Cassie Wood
Me thinks there has been many a bedroom where a 'snake' has tried to slide out - unnoticed!

Tathra Wharf closed for bad weather
except that the wharf is covered in people fishing who immediately moved the barriers out of the way. There are also tourists wandering around on the deck having jumped down out of the large roller doors which are open out of the cafe.
Beardy McGerkin
Tathra wharf is protected in a southerly

Bega River Day photos
Congratulations BRAWL and folk of Bega. Spent many happy hours on banks and in Bega River many years ago
Maggie May
This is what makes the Bega valley such a wonderful place to live - awesome community working together to create a truly beautiful place for all to enjoy - the entire riverside area looked magnificent today, so many happy people enjoying nature and the diversity of celebrations was absolutely fantastic.
