Former Cobargo resident and keyboardist Liz Blackthorn, who now lives in Melbourne, is  teaming up with local musician Connor Ross of Frost in Space and Melbourne band Purple Tusks for a one-off performance at the hotel. 

Blackthorn will be performing in her gypsy rock band, TankT. 

TankT formed in 2013 to perform Blackthorn’s original songs for her end of third year recital at Victorian College of the Arts, and since then they have been wowing audiences throughout Melbourne. 

Blackthorn graduated in 2014 with first class honours in Contemporary Music Improvisation and is now focussing on her music. 

TankT and Ross will be supporting Purple Tusks, an eight-piece party rock band, who are on tour launching their EP. 

Purple Tusks have a massive sound that’ll pull you off your seat and up to the front of the dance floor.

With a unique sound influenced by 70s funk, 90s hip-hop, traditional Mediterranean and gypsy music, Purple Tusks will get you dancing and having as much of an awesome time as they are.
