The Tuesday program of the school’s music, art, drama and dance production showcased the school’s many talented students from Years 7, 9 and 11 (with some items involving Year 8 students).
Family, friends, teachers and community members were treated to an inspiring display of musical, theatrical and artistic flair, all held together by the very entertaining host Rhys Davies.
The program contained something for everyone’s tastes from Japanese taiko drumming, a number of amazing vocalists, an enactment of Oscar Wilde’s “The Selfish Giant” to a classical flute and violin duet.
From individual through to group performances, it was clear that all items were well received by a very appreciative audience.
The two programs in total contained about 50 items altogether and the overall production involved more than 200 children, as in addition to the performances an exhibition of students’ art work was also on display in the hall.
Year 9 food technology and Year 11 special education students played a role in catering for the event.
The MADD production has been made possible through the combined efforts of many teachers and staff members.
In only its second year it is proving to be a popular event in showcasing the school’s variety of talent.
Thursday night’s production will feature performances by students from Years 8, 10 and 11 (and some from Year 9), so if you missed Tuesday night’s show, then make sure you see Thursday night’s.
The cost is $5, the venue is the Bega High School hall and doors open at 6.30pm for 7pm start.
