Under the direction of Willy Wonka (Gabbie Stroud,) who left her candy factory to find some delicious dance numbers, K-6 pupils put on a wonderful matinee show for parents, grandparents, carers, pupils from local primary schools and some very enthusiastic children from Bega Preschool.
Children were dressed as gummy bears, lollypop children, marshmallows, popcorn, banana minions, milkshake makers and one very cranky gingerbread man.
The dancing was fast and joyful, and kept the audience toes tapping.
There was a special standing ovation for Year 6, performing in their last St Patrick’s play.
At the end the whole school joined together for one last number and Willy Wonka thanked everyone for visiting their “land of pure imagination”.
There will be another performance tonight at 7pm in the St Patrick’s Primary School hall, tickets are $5.
