The South East Permaculture Convergence is a weekend for the permaculture community of the South East to come together and celebrate.
That’s anyone from the region bordered by Wollongong in the north, Braidwood and Canberra to the west, and Bairnsdale to the south.
The theme of the convergence is “sharing” and things to be shared include ideas, skills, stories, plants, passion, music, seeds, songs, food and hope.
It’s open to all those with an interest in permaculture - whether you’ve completed a permaculture design course, an intro to permaculture course or you just want to know more about permaculture.
On August 16 there are over 20 different workshops to choose from so you’ll go home with many skills - from fruit tree pruning, making seed balls, wicking beds, crocheting, seed saving, building a composting toilet, preserving, growing industrial hemp and much more.
If you have a skill you would like to share, you can hold a workshop too.
All meals are provided.
On the night of August 17 there will be a dinner and talk by guest speaker Professor Stuart Hill followed by a screening of the Chikukwa Project.
During the day Pip Magazine will be launching issue two, followed by an in-depth workshop facilitation by Professor Hill helping the community work towards meaningful change.
