10.15am: Maitland's teenage golden girl Maddison Elliott set a new world record to take out the final of the women's 100m freestyle S8 final.
9.45am: Australia's men's 4x100 metre freestyle relay team has won its first gold medal since the 2011 world championship when blistering legs by James Magnussen and Cameron McEvoy overhauled South Africa in the final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games on Friday night.
9am: The Hockeyroos didn't leave much to chance when they walloped Wales 9-0. Next up for our women's hockey team? Scotland and then England.
8.30am: Night two of the Commonwealth Games swimming program produced four gold medals in the pool for the Australians.
The night finished with the blue riband men's 4x100m freestyle relay but there was excitement galore for the Aussies early in the evening session.
The gold rush began with Leiston Pickett in the 50 metre breaststroke before Thomas Fraser-Holmes edged out Cameron McEvoy to take 200m freestyle gold in 1: 45.08. Fraser-Holmes backed up to win a silver medal in the 400m individual medley not long after.
The night was capped off when the Australian men followed the women's lead and won gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
The team of Tommaso D'Orsogna, Matt Abood, James Magnussen and Cameron McEvoy won in a games record time of 3:13.44
Para-swimmer Maddison Elliott from Maitland broke world record in winning the women's 100 metre freestyle (S8) final.
Cyclist Jack Bobridge snaffled his second Commonwealth Games gold medal in two days when he backed up his team pursuit win with gold in the 4000 metres individual pursuit.
8.15am: Australia's new middle distance champion Alex Rowe will not get a chance to add a medal to his new joint record, the 800m runner has torn a hamstring in training and is out of the Commonwealth Games.
8am: The headgear was gone. Back was the blood, the big shots and the knockouts. It took just one bout in Glasgow for boxing's fundamental transformation as a Commonwealth and Olympic sport to be unveiled in all its throwback glory to its largest audience yet. Aussie Joseph Goodall won his opening bout against Patrick Mailata of New Zealand in the super-heavyweight division.
7am: Australian Annette Edmondson won silver and compatriot Amy Cure took bronze in the women's individual pursuit on day two of Commonwealth Games track cycling.
England's world champion Joanne Rowsell was too strong for Edmondson in the 3000-metre individual pursuit gold medal ride-off and pulled away for a convincing win. Cure had to fight off a determined challenge from Scot Katie Archibald to win their battle for the bronze medal.
