“Reports have come to hand that a number of break and enter offences may have occurred in the Bega township, however these have not been reported to police,” Inspector Jason Edmunds said.
“We are appealing to people to make contact with Bega police.
“Making comments on social media is not the way to report a crime, people need to contact police.
“Even if you make a call to us and are transferred to Batemans Bay police, be assured Bega police will attend and investigate immediately.
“People may feel police are unable to do anything, but police could be in receipt of retrieved property or information so it’s worth making contact,” Inspector Edmunds said.
If you have any information, please contact Bega police on 6492 9999.
