In division one, the top two finishers The Hook In and Top Video lined up.
The opening game between Nikki Tarlinton and Brooke Bartlett set the scene for an exciting night.
In a repeat of previous matches between these girls, the match went to five games, with Brooke getting Top Video off to a 3-2 lead.
The next game on court was to prove the turning point of the night.
Chloe Harlow for The Hook In had never previously beaten Nathan Curtis of Top Video, but in a crushing display she reversed those encounters, winning 3-0.
The Hook In were now ahead 5-3 as Ryan Galeano and Tynan Taylor took the court.
Tynan claimed a 3-1 win, evening up the overall scores at 6-6.
It came down to the captains’ clash between brothers Ben and Riley Joyce.
Riley took the first game for Top Video, but Ben hit back in a crushing display to win 3-1.
The win saw the premiership go to The Hook In.
Division two saw another sibling clash between Rebecca and Ashleigh Sant.
Their match opened the contest between Chemworld and Magpie Music.
With neither girl prepared to lose, the games were hotly contested, but Ashleigh eventually overcame Rebecca in five games.
Next on court were Geordie Gray and Rachel Pearce.
Geordie has had a strong year and came out firing against Rachel.
Rachel tried to counter with hard, deep shots, but was unable to match Geordie’s movement around the court.
A 3-0 victory to Geordie put Chemworld in front 5-4, with only the captains’ match to come.
Unfortunately for Magpie Music, their captain Bailey Smith, who had only lost one match all season, was unable to make it, leaving substitute Rochelle Tarlinton to take on Claudia Bartlett in the decider.
Rochelle managed to win one game but was unable to counter Claudia’s strong shot making.
Claudia took out the match 3-1 to give victory to her Chemworld side.
Presentations followed the matches.
Jordan Tarlinton was awarded as the only undefeated player for the competition.
The club’s next competition will start with grading after the school holidays on July 18.
