Declan plays for the Bega Roosters in both the under 16s and under 18s.
Declan flew out for Perth on Tuesday to go into camp to train and prepare for the weekend’s game and will return on Monday.
He will then travel to France, Italy and Rome in 2015 for a football tour with this team.
Declan’s mother Angela Bower said this was an exciting opportunity and experience for Declan, who has overcome some major health issues in the past.
In 2010 it was discovered Declan had a brain tumour.
The tumour was successfully removed, but Declan was unable to play his beloved footy for 12 months and spent three years on medication.
“Thankfully he has been back playing since 2011 and is no longer on any medication and loving his football,” Angela said.
“We are so proud of him and what he has achieved.
“Good luck to you Declan.”
Declan follows in his older brother’s footsteps.
Early last year James Bower-Scott was selected for the Under 16s Aboriginal Achievers rugby league tour of Europe alongside his cousin Marty Scott.
