On Wednesday, Cobargo and Bermagui received a massive localised downpour of 114mm of rain throughout the day.
By comparison, in Bega only 11mm of rain fell on the same day, and Eden received 14mm.
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued a weather warning on Wednesday for the South Coast, citing the reason of heavy rains.
According to BOM, a low pressure trough situated along the south half of the NSW coast brought heavy rain and thunderstorms to parts of the South Coast and adjacent ranges.
The pressure system gradually moved southwards during the day.
Residents of the South Coast were warned as the localised heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding in some areas.
BOM also issued a strong wind warning for the Eden coast waters where gusts reached speeds of 48kmh on Tuesday night, the strong winds continuing into the next day.
