SERAS head coach for the lawn bowls program James Reynolds is making preparations to compete in the Trans-Tasman bowls tournament and vying for selection in the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
Organisers said he was setting a great example for the students when the bowls program started recently, where Reynolds put the seven athletes through a series of drills.
Organisers said Will Hammond and Jessica Hogan excelled in the more challenging drills and clearly benefited from the tuition provided at the camp.
The squad will come together for a second training camp in the ACT during June.
They will be hoping to farewell Reynolds if he is on the plane to Scotland.
The academy also plans to take this years’ squad on tour to the north island of New Zealand in December.
