The book is the result of pain-staking research, which involved hours wandering through the cemetery taking photographs of graves as the basis of her work.
It includes detailed photographs of headstones and comprehensive detail of some of the region’s former residents.
“Some of the stories on the headstones are fascinating because in the past it was not simply the name and dates written on it but there was often details of their death and record of who their children’s names and grandchildren’s names.
Ms Crowe said that the details of how people died showed an interesting time in Bombala’s history.
“There were snake bit deaths, a drowning and very sadly a lot of child birth deaths,” she said.
The book is available for purchase at Cosmo Cafe and the Bombala Historical Society.
