The club hosted a casual kick around and get together on Wednesday night with a tremendous first showing of support.
Senior coach Matt Fleet said 59 people turned out for the early stages of re-forming the club for 2014 and he couldn’t have asked for a better showing.
“Fantastic turnout last night,” Fleet said yesterday.
“We’ll be doing a similar thing next week and I’ll be including a few activities for fun and another barbecue.”
Fleet said he was excited to see the good numbers and wants the club to consolidate last year’s terrific effort.
“We have a lot to prove this season.”
Many familiar faces were on hand to help launch the club in this year’s season and there were also plenty of new faces too.
Fleet said anyone of any ability is welcome.
“If you’ve played before or not, come and have a kick with the Bombers,” he said.
“We’re inviting anyone who might like to be a part of what’s rapidly becoming a true family club.”
Fleet said he would also have a few competitive challenges for cash and a laugh.
“We’ll have some fun games for money, so bring your loose change,” he said with a laugh.
The Bombers will take the field at the Bega Showground again on Wednesday from 5.30pm.
