As usual there was a great run on the Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings, but also the other stalls of biscuits, plants, knitwear, jams, jellies and marmalades, sweets, needlework and craft.
So great is the reputation of the Tathra Auxiliary for having terrific goods you had to arrive early.
Although the fair’s opening hours were from 9am to 1pm, those in the know came in the first hour or so knowing the shelves would be stripped fairly bare after that.
Santa was there handing out sweets to the children, and there was a chocolate wheel and a raffle with a beautiful quilt one of the prizes.
